I first came across the Heatherwick when my architect flatmate showed me his "sitooterie" which was mental - the word sounds even better when said with an exaggerated Scottish accent!

Howdy Jack

Do you remember the 3rd year project @ DOJ when we had 2 pick an
artist or designer that inspires us and then design a piece of packaging
influenced by that artist (cast your mind back)? Well, I chose Thomas
Heatherwick (the guys a genious) as the inspiration for my piece of
packaging. It operates exactly like this example of his wonderful hydraulic
bridge. Would you like to see the results? :)
