What the FFF?

Founded in 2005 by an ever growing group of young designers and vagabonds eager to collect and share the best design work they came across, FormFiftyFive soon became an international showcase of creative work.

Although the site was doing a great job at sparking creativity, we felt it could, and should, be even bigger and better. So we spent many moons working on a brand new FormFiftyFive, still high in eye (and brain) candy, but with a brand new look and lots of new features that dig even deeper into what’s happening in the design community.

We’ve also added more interactive elements on the site so people can exchange and store ideas more easily, encouraging collaboration and making the site more than just another design blog.

So have a look round, if you see something you love or hate be sure to comment, and drop us a line if there’s a juicy bit of creative gold you’d like to see on here.

Keep it real, the FFF team.

Inspiration / Dimitry Maksimov

DM

Design You Trust have put together a great selection of illustrations by Dimitry Maksimov. He blends illustration and photography in a way I haven’t come across before. I had some ideas for illustrations which in my head were quite similar to these… just shows that even if you think you’re doing something different there’s probably someone on the other side of the globe doing something similar!?

  11. News on the graphics front: Gareth @ Sumo – Kev Blythe @ Navy Blue – Sean @ The Brand Union – Craig @ Traffic _ Me staying with Andy & Maggie sleeping on a lylo, nice!

Our show got lots of great feedback @ New Blood, Gary was grinning from ear to ear (was disappointed not to see any of our work featured on FFF tho). Me, Ivan & Kev Pearson are gonna bite the bullet & move to the big smoke, we’ve all got lots of interviews lined up down here, also the 3 of us have been asked by a Norwegian company to go over & present our work to them all expenses paid, can’t wait for that!

What about you Jack, I here your going back home – what’s happening with the new job?

  13. Hey all @ FFF, just incase you think dissin’ for the sake of it, i’ll leave a link to Blu’s ‘MUTO’, which I feel really integrates beautifully illustration with the natural environment as well as animation and a funky sound track. Don’t know if he has been featured on FFF before but his work is truly amazing especially his animation, how does he come up with these ideas?! Check out the rest of his work.

  17. Ive haven’t seen work like this where the use of multiple medias equally parallel each other. I like the symbolization of these characters in their photographed environments. They become more of a representative and less of a characters.
