Pay a 3D artist to model a completely lifelike ugly guy. Have him rig the face, set the deformers and animation points. Pay an animator to pull the digital strings - probably opting for motion capture and then pay texture guys, lighting guys to make it look as lifelike as possible. This guy is obviously extremely talented but wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to hire an ugly bloke off the street and pop a camera in front of him, I'm not too sure I get this whole ultra lifelike 3D modelling stuff. I'd much rather see 3D artists create something I'm not going to see walking down the street... like Wall-E for example. Maybe I'm to cynical in my old age ;) Stick with me on this.
