Some really impressive, fun work, plus a nice twist on the normally passé ‘poster holder’. Pablo Alfieri.

Founded in 2005 by an ever growing group of young designers and vagabonds eager to collect and share the best design work they came across, FormFiftyFive soon became an international showcase of creative work.
Although the site was doing a great job at sparking creativity, we felt it could, and should, be even bigger and better. So we spent many moons working on a brand new FormFiftyFive, still high in eye (and brain) candy, but with a brand new look and lots of new features that dig even deeper into what’s happening in the design community.
We’ve also added more interactive elements on the site so people can exchange and store ideas more easily, encouraging collaboration and making the site more than just another design blog.
So have a look round, if you see something you love or hate be sure to comment, and drop us a line if there’s a juicy bit of creative gold you’d like to see on here.
Keep it real, the FFF team.

Haha, I think you should just try and get your work on a porn-set with all the action going on behind your posters. It’s the future!

Surely the whole point of having a portfolio is to display/show off your work. This site has been linked on a fair few blogs recently and the actual work is secondary to the presentation gimmick…it’s actually worse than the ‘holding my poster by the corners’ because you don’t focus on he design!

I don’t think a guy who photographs his work with semi naked people takes himself too seriously. Be it intentional or not it’s taking a stab at long lived ‘hands holding poster’ which is pretty funny. I think the best one I ever saw was of some guy stood presumably naked simply becuase he had legs like big foot – now that’s funny.
Workwise his earlier stuff seems more engaing. For me the new stuff on his site just feels too much like Serial Cut meets Chuck Anderson meets Si Scott.

I really like the rawness of the early stuff and the identity projects are really solid. He’s called ‘Playful’ and his poster-holder device is certainly that… very apt! Would be great if the holder was wearing knee-high leather boots.
