What the FFF?

Founded in 2005 by an ever growing group of young designers and vagabonds eager to collect and share the best design work they came across, FormFiftyFive soon became an international showcase of creative work.

Although the site was doing a great job at sparking creativity, we felt it could, and should, be even bigger and better. So we spent many moons working on a brand new FormFiftyFive, still high in eye (and brain) candy, but with a brand new look and lots of new features that dig even deeper into what’s happening in the design community.

We’ve also added more interactive elements on the site so people can exchange and store ideas more easily, encouraging collaboration and making the site more than just another design blog.

So have a look round, if you see something you love or hate be sure to comment, and drop us a line if there’s a juicy bit of creative gold you’d like to see on here.

Keep it real, the FFF team.

Inspiration / FFF + The Serif

We’re excited to announce that from today FFF and The Serif will be merging. Serif founder Jim, and the rest of The Serif team will be coming across to FFF, meaning there will now be twice as many of us searching out the best inspirational design from around the world.

It isn’t just the team that is developing, over the coming months there will be some big changes to FFF, with a ground-up redesign of the site. We’re really excited about the future, so if you have suggestions of improvements you’d like to see in the redesign, let us know.

  1. Welcome to the whole Serif crew! As J said, we’re going to start completely from scratch! Any comments or suggestions are more than welcome. I know a lot of people want elements from the serif to appear on FFF and we’ll try our best to do that.

I think this is going to be huge!

  11. …if you people already decieded to go with a different design from now on, it would be great if the site would work with safari 2 again (”work” machine, can’t update it)…now it just quits if javascript is on while the site loads :(

  31. My suggestion would be to make a transparent redesign, show us the process, let us ask questions about why you do certain things. You want to foster and create a community then get a good start and involve us from the ground up with you.

  51. disappointing actually. the readership of the two sites are quite different; the serif in particular has such specific graphic design content where as fff is a cloud of design. i subscribe to the serif because i don’t have to sift through a giant mass of subject matter. just another “design” blog, please do something special with this.

  67. Shout Boxes suck. I say no shout box – they get messy – just a decent link submission form would suffice.

Job section would be fun / possibly useful.
