What the FFF?

Founded in 2005 by an ever growing group of young designers and vagabonds eager to collect and share the best design work they came across, FormFiftyFive soon became an international showcase of creative work.

Although the site was doing a great job at sparking creativity, we felt it could, and should, be even bigger and better. So we spent many moons working on a brand new FormFiftyFive, still high in eye (and brain) candy, but with a brand new look and lots of new features that dig even deeper into what’s happening in the design community.

We’ve also added more interactive elements on the site so people can exchange and store ideas more easily, encouraging collaboration and making the site more than just another design blog.

So have a look round, if you see something you love or hate be sure to comment, and drop us a line if there’s a juicy bit of creative gold you’d like to see on here.

Keep it real, the FFF team.

  3. Whats the bastardised logo on each bottle all about? Seems strange to alter such a recognizable brand…

  5. When I saw this on Brand New last week I though it was a joke!? It looks like someone just hacked away at it with the illustrator warp tool!

  9. I see what they’ve tried, but it just isn’t working. Such an iconic mark that was so beautifully simple, had so much herritage and recgnisability, and now they’ve bastardised it. Such a shame.

Scroll down the comments on Brand New and somebody’s done a quick visual of that bottle with the ‘old’ logo on it. So much better.

That’s going to date in about half an hour.

  15. Utter guff.
To even say that a student designed it is giving students a bad rep!
    The font is awful.

  19. I’m still no sure if this is serious? It’s got to be some shitty hoax…though I can’t think of a good reason why.

It just seems so rushed! If they actually launch this design they’ll have to change it again next month!

  21. It looks very familiar to teh Korean Airways logo…it also looks like a mark that would be more suited to a Petrol Station rather than a soft drink. Also the variation of the logo between the 3 drinks doesnt make any sense whatsoever..I thought this was Pepsi trying to have a laugh with some viral advertising, but apparantly this is Pepsi’s new look. Coke’s nicer anyway

  25. Couldn’t agree more Alex, the original brand was becoming a bit of classic in its own right. Note quite to the same degree as Coke, obviously, but a classic nonetheless.

If this new identity is legit, it looks like an expensive step back.

  31. I was in Zara looking for a nice cosy winter jacket lastnight – they were playing Gareth Gates tracks. Left in disgust, obviously.

  33. Easy now. It’s just the credit crunch. Not everyone can afford fonts, JJB sports opted for a nice little Dafont number recently, seems that Pepsi couldn’t resist a bit of that action. I especially like the post-rationalisation of the ’smiles’ for the Pepsi mark. It’s b*ll*cks. Drink Coke for f*ck’s sake.

  35. It makes no sense. They all look like Rola Cola Pepsi knock-offs you used to get in the cash-and-carry.

  45. It happens again and again: each time Pepsi has had its logo revamped, everybody thinks it’s still worse than the one it’s replacing. I think it’s like a ‘Pepsi logo karma’. But I’m sure it’ll grow on us until the next logo facelift will make us feel that this one wasn’t that bad.
