Type: Junior designer full time position

You: We are looking for a junior designer to work in our offices in Dumbo, Brooklyn, NYC. You will be working with the rest of the team on identity projects, web sites, print design, and our home-grown digital applications. You should be able to draw icons, illustrate, or create custom type in Illustrator, as well as be versed with pixel perfect design and photo manipulation in Photoshop. A good sense for identity and logo designs is required.

- Be well versed in typography, type design, grids, positive and negative space, information graphics, and layout. If you know who Wim Crouwel, Paul Rand, and Dieter Rams are, and you are a fan of their work, we want to talk to you.
- “The details are not the details. They make the design.” -Charles Eames We don’t do cookie cutter work, which is why we don’t go home before every icon is anti-aliased perfectly, the last bug fixed, and every piece of text kerned right. The details should be something you take pride in as well.
- Be able to take on responsibility: We aren’t a huge shop, we don’t have any cubicles, and there is no need to address the hiring manager or hr department, because there isn’t one. But that also means that you will be involved in managing jobs, writing proposals and answering the phones. It’s no problem if you are shy, we’ll take it one step at a time.
- Have sense of humour. We cling to ours for our dear lives.
Compensation: Competitive salary based on skills and experience.
