I linked Jonathan Puckey last year, and love what he does. It’s the innovative processes he uses to create the work i admire, as much as the work itself.

I think it’s a little myopic so suggest Nacho’s ‘Animals’ illustrations are “rip-offs”. The process is different, in that he’s observed the animals and created symmetrical illustrations by hand/mouse, as opposed to the asymmetrical script generated work of Puckey.

Also, the image Glenn has linked is probably closer, aesthetically than the other stuff Nacho has done, for example the Zebra and Cheetah look to be further removed from Puckey’s work.

Not saying that Nacho hasn’t taken inspiration/used Puckey as a reference, but I think it’s a big step to suggest his own work is plagiarised and should be taken down.

Triangles + 2 color gradients + portraits. If the technique isn’t the piece, it should have been done using another technique – what a shame. I wonder why this hasn’t been taken down from fff yet.

and the animals, as a whole, represent a totally diffent tone and feel to me…
when put next to the pieces shown in your quote…
