Selected Questions for Von:

1. What is your normal workflow or process like? What tools, techniques, and mindsets do you find absolutely essential?

2. I’d love to know (despite the epic outcome) do you ever get bored with the process?

3. what does it take from you — to earn as an pro artist/illustrator?
a lot of time mainly.

4. I learned to draw myself, i draw for 10 years, with great love for the pencil. From time to time I think about getting through some formal training, like getting education in illustration/graphic design. What will be your advice — will it enrich my style or I’ll just waste my time and money, and I can do a lot more/the same way myself? maybe you will be glad to know your work is considered thoroughly even in Siberia — thank you a lot for the inspiration.

5. you have cut a style and fashion all of your own, but how do you stop that from going stale with the viewer and yourself?

6. Is there any client or another creative you would like to work with and why?

7. I would ask who von looks to for inspiration and what is his favourite thing to draw.

8. Who, if anyone, is working today that inspires you or you admire?

9. Online design sites and blogs-an inspirational resource or a huge distraction?

10. If you didn't end up working as an illustartor what do you think you'd be doing now?

11. How do you feel the recent recession and client budget cuts have affected you, if at all?

12. What are your personal design goals and aspirations for the future. Is there any other areas you see yourself working in?

Most of you asked us to keep the interview a little short this time round so we're keeping the questions to under 15. Von selected the above questions, which he'll answer on Monday.

Hi Von,

What i like to know is what your relation is towards nature. Is it more a stylistic choice like you\'re drawings are stylistic or is there a deeper interest?
The animals are always placed as stand alone with a lot of white surrounding them like you want to make a point... or maybe not. That\'s something i canot really figure out. Nontheless i think you are a very good artist. I really like your work. The new work \'Semblance\' looks amazing as well.

Thanx for taking the time.

If you lost your site, what career path would you take?

oh oh orrrr.....

If you were naked for 3 hours and 29 minutes what would you do?

Hi Von,
what does it take from you — to earn as an pro artist/illustrator?

why do you work by yourself? have you considered an opportunity to work in the studio, or in collaboration with some other artists/designers?

do you get tired of choosen style and/or media? what do you do about that?

i learned to draw myself, i draw for 10 years, with great love for the pencil. From time to time I think about getting through some formal training, like getting education in illustration/graphic design. What will be your advice — will it enrich my style or I'll just waste my time and money, and I can do a lot more/the same way myself?

maybe you will be glad to know your work is considered thoroughly even in Siberia —
thank you a lot for the inspiration.
