What the FFF?

Founded in 2005 by an ever growing group of young designers and vagabonds eager to collect and share the best design work they came across, FormFiftyFive soon became an international showcase of creative work.

Although the site was doing a great job at sparking creativity, we felt it could, and should, be even bigger and better. So we spent many moons working on a brand new FormFiftyFive, still high in eye (and brain) candy, but with a brand new look and lots of new features that dig even deeper into what’s happening in the design community.

We’ve also added more interactive elements on the site so people can exchange and store ideas more easily, encouraging collaboration and making the site more than just another design blog.

So have a look round, if you see something you love or hate be sure to comment, and drop us a line if there’s a juicy bit of creative gold you’d like to see on here.

Keep it real, the FFF team.

Inspiration / Universal Everything—Long Lunch Talk

universaleverything-final

For all you people in the London area, the very nice chaps at Long Lunch have organised a talk with Universal Everything next Tuesday 20th October. The talk is taking place at Project Space, London, W10 5JJ and the talk will start at 7.30.

Long Lunch always put on a sterling effort to host interesting talks, many of which I’m sure our Scottish readers will of had the pleasure of attending before. Tickets on sale via the Long Lunch site, so go snap a couple up before they all disappear.

Long Lunch have also booked another talk the following week with Unit Editions, whose first book Studio Culture, we just reviewed.

  1. Forget the talk – where the hell can I can that poster from? It’s fucking lovely!

(ps. I’m sure the talk will be great too – saw Matt Pyke at a D&AD talk last year and it was interesting stuff)

  5. @Alex usually they give them away at the talk or (not that I condone it) people steal them from the walls of the event room before entering and leaving the talk.

Let me see what I can do Alex.

  7. Great poster indeed, and I too was at his D&AD talk in Liverpool last year – you’re in for a relaxed and entertaining time!

  9. Hi folks (Brian from LongLunch). The posters will be avilable for free at the talk, and IF we get them back from the printers in time I will drop off a few at Concrete Hermit in Shoreditch were you can collect one – free! Generation Press in Brighton and GF Smith have been working hard on them for the last few days, and Unit Editions posters for their talk the following week. We also have posters already printed for Proud Creative’s talk in November. They’ll all be available free on the night of the talks. Check the website out for the dates. Also we give away copies of old posters to those who ask questions at the end of talks – a bit like a lucky dip – so there’s even more reason to come!

  11. This one is definitely a must! Really enjoyed Mr. Pyke’s talk in Liverpool last year, plus every single LongLunch talk I’ve been to has been brilliant… well except Angus Hyland.

  13. Handy tip for all you going to the talk, bring your own poster tube. I have made the mistake of not taking one in the past and your beautiful free poster gets squashed, stamped on and ripped inevitably in the post talk drinks down the pub. You’ll thank me, honestly! Would love to make this talk, was at the Proud Creative event in Glasgow last week and my lovely GP printed poster suffered this fate!

  15. Gutted, I really want to go to this, but it clashes with a leaving party on I’m going to on the same night :(

Hope they stick a video of it online somewhere afterwards…
