We are looking for a Senior Designer to work on the design of our books and sales materials in-house and to manage freelance designers. The successful candidate will have a particular interest in book design, good editorial-design skills, a keen eye for typographic detail and at least four years’ experience. A knowledge of print-production processes and an awareness of what is current in book design are essential. You will be working closely with the Creative Director and Junior Designer, along with colleagues in our Editorial, Production and Sales departments. A good communicator, you will also be dealing directly with authors, photographers and printers. Your computer skills should include Quark, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. The position includes some responsibility for overseeing and advising on IT, and liaising with our freelance IT support.
