What the FFF?

Founded in 2005 by an ever growing group of young designers and vagabonds eager to collect and share the best design work they came across, FormFiftyFive soon became an international showcase of creative work.

Although the site was doing a great job at sparking creativity, we felt it could, and should, be even bigger and better. So we spent many moons working on a brand new FormFiftyFive, still high in eye (and brain) candy, but with a brand new look and lots of new features that dig even deeper into what’s happening in the design community.

We’ve also added more interactive elements on the site so people can exchange and store ideas more easily, encouraging collaboration and making the site more than just another design blog.

So have a look round, if you see something you love or hate be sure to comment, and drop us a line if there’s a juicy bit of creative gold you’d like to see on here.

You’ll be integral in both the creation of new client projects, both front end and back end, and also the smooth running of existing ones.

On a daily basis;
• Front-end web development; client project builds using Javascript, AJAX, XHTML, CSS and related technologies.
• Working alongside our back end developers, so you’ll need to be able to navigate and understand PHP.
• The maintenance and upkeep of our current crop of client websites to ensure their smooth running.
• Working with the usual Adobe software (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator etc)

In a fast, clean and efficient manner, you’ll be strongly proficient in:
• Cross-browser compatible CSS (table-less) template creation
• Javascript and jQuery
• W3C & WAI standards
• Search Engine Optimisation
• Good UI & accessibility knowledge
• Email marketing production
• Font replacement technologies like sIFR/Cufon
• Attention to detail, with a keen creative eye

You’ll gain extra brownie points for;
• Having produced timelines/tech project plans
• CSS Frameworks
• Drupal CMS and WordPress template creation
• Having a good understanding of PHP/MYSQL and being able write your own scripts
• Experience of Flash and Actionscript
• Experience working with 3rd party APIs (Google Maps, Twitter, Flickr, etc…)
• Experience using version control software (SVN)
