We are an award-winning design, branding and photographic agency based in Bournemouth and we’re looking for a web developer to join our team. Predominantly the role will involve front-end code (excellent HTML, XHTML and CSS skills are essential) but you should be able to perform certain back-end tasks (such as the integration of content management systems like WordPress). Your main responsibilities will be the creation, maintenance and modification of websites and web technologies.
You’d be working closely with designers and would need to transform their designs into beautiful, clean, standards compliant code. You should be able to demonstrate an awareness of the issues surrounding web accessibility and cross-platform/browser compatibility issues. You should also have an interest in new and emerging web technologies (e.g. HTML5, CSS3).
Skills
- Excellent HTML, XHMTL and CSS skills
- Ability to write W3C compliant valid XHTML/CSS markup
- Knowledge and experience of creating custom WordPress templates
- Good understanding of web accessibility
- Good Jquery/Javascript knowledge
- Good PHP knowledge
- Knowledge of database integration
- Interest in and awareness of new and emerging web technologies, e.g. HTML5 and CSS3
- Good Flash skills
- Working knowledge of programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks
