Taking someone else’s work or idea and passing it off as your own is disgusting.

I personally find it very hard to believe that the same four executions would be innocently reproduced with exactly the same tagline. It only takes a minute on Google to check that you have an original concept.

Plagiarism seems to be a growing problem, a number of entries (and winners) in this year’s Chip Shop Awards also look to be direct lifts of previous work. Do designers not realise that copied work is easy to spot?

Why would you not google your proposition to see if it’s already been used and too strongly associated with something else? Sure it could be coincidence, but whether or not it is plagiarised, it’s still someone else’s IP.

The design process can often produce simultaneous solutions that are based on the same core idea. I’d have given this one the benefit of the doubt if the tagline ‘love is blind’ wasn’t exactly the same on both designs.

Steady on with the “rip off” calls – with a concept like this there’s a chance they got to the same idea without having seen the original. I’m not saying it’s not, I’m just not saying it is either.

Leeds Met runs a great degree course run by passionate and caring tutors who allow the students the freedom to express themselves while still keeping one eye on the real world… Producing thinkers, first and foremost.

That’s all evident in this selection of work and it looks like the course continues to grow in stature year on year, thanks for the post.

The tampax packaging is just great. Wouldn’t work at all in the real world because the big gushers would be embarrassed, but it works great in my world.
