Nokia are giving three of the world’s top universities the great opportunity to design artwork for the multi-coloured shells of their latest handset in the Nokia Lumia 820 Design Challenge.

Between now and the 3rd of February, students from the Institute of Design & Fine Arts at Lahti University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Parsons, The New School for Design (New York) and Central Saint Martins College of Arts & Design (London) UK will go head to head to win some great prizes!

A jury (including myself representing FFF) will shortlist fifteen designs to go forward to a public vote on Nokia’s Facebook page, where you can vote for your favourite.

The designer with the most votes will get the chance to kickstart their career with a paid design internship at Nokia in London. They’ll also win a Lumia 820 with their own cover design, and a trip to Social Media Week in NYC. Plus, their design will be showcased and produced as a limited edition of 50!
