Role:
& SMITH is a design studio based in East London. We’re looking for a confident and experienced Studio Manager to join our team of seven designers. He/she will handle the day-to-day running of our busy studio and be the glue that holds the team together. It is preferred that the candidate understands the design industry and can hit the ground running!
Role includes:
• Handling new business enquiries
• Assisting in drafting fee proposals
• Basic accounting (managing studio budget, sales and purchase invoices)
• Organising extra resources – freelancers and student interns
• PA support to two Directors
• Reviewing daily work schedules of designers
• Being on hand to assist any member of the team
• Managing facilities
• PR and website content
• Entering design awards
• Role to potentially evolve into Project Management responsibilities
Skills we’re looking for:
• Good communicator, both written and verbal
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong organisational abilities
• Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
