Whilst doing some research for a project recently, I came across this excellent archive of pictograms by German artist Gerd Arntz. Designed to convey a wealth of visual statistics (from industry to the economy) in a straight forward and clear manner, it’s amazing to see that many of these were created around 1930. Truly inspiring stuff!

FFF viewers in Edinburgh should head along to Pageant this evening for the opening night of Focal Range, a mixed media exhibition focussing on the prevalence of CCTV in the urban environment, by graphic artist Derm. From 7pm at Pageant, 10 Lauriston Street, Edinburgh. Hope to see you there!
