Ben Anslow has just graduated from Staffordshire Uni, and exhibited at D&AD New Blood, where I spotted his Scapegoat poster (shown). A nice wee set of projects on his website too I think.

10 Girls Doing It exhibition

Glenn enviously mentioned this exhibition the other day on Twitter, but today the 10 hot young MA grads-to-be dropped by to say hello and give us a copy of their press pack. Laced with innuendo their promo viral (which you can see on their site 10collective.com) sets the tone for the included flyer and booklet-cum-poster (no pun intended) by describing a bit about each of the 10 exhibiting girls through questions relating to ‘doing it’.

The show is on at the trendy Rag Factory just off Brick Lane (16 Heneage Street E1 5LJ), running from 17-19th December 2010 (Friday 12:00-21:00, Saturday 10:00-21:00 and Sunday 10:00-18:00) with the P.V. on Thursday 16th December 2010 from 18:00-21:00. If you’re in the London area try and pop along and see the show at some point before it closes on Saturday. Like always if you see us on Thursday why not say Hello!

In the meantime if you can’t wait to see some hot design action then have a butchers at the obligatory blog.

Design Symposium North

Design Symposium North hits Liverpool in 2010 with an action packed programme featuring some of the most renowned figures in the design industry. This years lectures feature James Bull of Moving Brands and Adrian Shaughnessy of Shaughnessy Works. Both will be talking about their inspirational careers and showing work from past and recent projects. Jonathan Kirk, DBA consultant from, Up to the Light will also be showing how small agencies can punch above their weight.

Aspiring creatives and students will be treated to a full day of top tips on how to break into the industry at a series of education-related sessions run by the D&AD and the DBA which will include lectures, portfolio surgeries and workshops. Find out more and signup to get involved here.

D&AD Student Awards

The D&AD Student Awards took place yesterday in Spitalfields Market. Some nice work on show, but the stand out piece was by Jessica Reynolds and Serena Wise. Their work for the IKEA open brief had a simple but brilliant idea, deservedly landing them the honour of Student of the Year. See more work here.

Outside In is an exciting fundraising event being hosted by students from Ravensbourne’s Design for Moving Image course to raise money for the annual degree show at the Royal Society of Arts.

The event is a series presentations from some of the industries leading production and design agencies.

We have a great line-up of speakers. Presentations will be given by:
