Back in November we posted that Man vs Machine were working on a full rebrand of the now iconic More4 identity. This generated a lot of debate, with Greig getting “the feeling this is going to move like a flip clock”.

How right he was – earlier today MvM unveiled the new identity featuring “Live-action idents see the brand break out into the real world in the form of mechanical ‘flippers’”.

Initial reaction to the logo received varied results, the majority of people reserving their judgement until they had seen it move. And move it does. I for one, think it’s a breath of fresh air, lovely to see the identity break out into the the real world.

Today is a good day. Another exquisite design studio has made it to the web. We Are Fellows is a small creative studio based in Hamburg, specializing in brand direction and digital design. The Studio was founded in 2011 and is run by two charming gentlemen named  Andreas Lexa and Malte Müller. They offer a contemporary visual approach and focus on creating accessible user experiences.

I met Malte, who is also running electricgecko, quite some years back and we became very good friends. You should meet him and Andreas too, they are both amazing. Follow We Are Fellows on Facebook & Twitter.

For today’s instalment of christmas card goodness, this effort from Sydney ad agency Host, impressed with it’s mix of video, real world experience and some ‘whoah cool what the heck is that’ technological gee-whiz-ardry — they topped it off with a funny name inspired by the unfortunate name of the street the agency is located on. Another massive production, so I’m hoping to find something simple, beautiful or clever for tomorrow.

To mark the launch of their new website, Armoury London have produced a nice festive film. This film is about London giving back. It features young people from all over the city including Croydon, Tottenham and Hackney. The director, Jack Laurance, grew up in Dalston.

Central Station are currently going through some big changes, with Central Station v2 set to launch at the end of this month. The primary change to the site will be a shift in focus away from being an online community towards becoming a ‘network of networks’. Those with profiles and work on the site may want to make sure they have their projects available to view on other networks such as Béhance, Flickr and Vimeo, as the Portfolios section will be removed as part of the change. You can read more about the changes in the recent Central Station v2 blog post.

As part of the launch, Central Station will be running ‘50 Artists in 50 Days’, which will see a different member featured every day for the first 50 days of v2. Dentsu London and BERG teamed up to create Making Future Magic — an interesting twist on the term ‘motion graphics’. It’s crazy but makes sense, technical but also somewhat old school.
