OFFSET, Dublin’s creative festival, returns to the spectacular Grand Canal Theatre next March 9/10/11 2012. With 24 leading creative lights on the main stage, a second room for debates and discussion, interviews and lots more surprises planned, this looks set to be their biggest and brightest yet.

On Thursday 20th until Saturday 22nd October TYPO London, the event based on the hugely successful TYPO Berlin conference, returns to its roots in London.

TYPO London is a three day conference representing, as the name suggests, contemporary commentary on graphic design, typography and communication. This year boasts a deliberately broad range of speakers, covering visual communication, film, emerging media, design, education, technology, information and typography.

It’s that time again, another Long Lunch talk is fast approaching this time round with the legend Rodney Fitch former president of D&AD and CBE.

This time the talk will be held at my old haunting ground of Edinburgh College of Arts on Thursday 18th November 2010. Doors open at 7:00pm and tickets are available from the Long Lunch site now.

Only a couple of days left before United Visual Artists (UVA) will be getting up on stage to give a talk at the next LongLunch event in London this week. For those of you who might not of heard of UVA before then you’ll be in for a treat. Specialising in live performances and responsive installations they have produced work for The V&A, The Wapping Projectand worked alongside numerous music artists including Massive Attack to produce stunning experimental motion work that often interacts with the environment and the people around it. Process led and extremely technical in places, UVA see the research and development as a key part of their working practice.

Again LongLunch have done a great job to secure The London Design Museum (Shad Thames, SE1 2YD) as the venue. Doors open at 7pm on Tuesday 26th October with the talk commencing short afterwards. If you’re interested in attending the talk you can purchase tickets along with more information via the LongLunch site.

It’s worth mentioning that there’s a Q&A at the end usually with prizes for the best question(s), so get cracking on some thoughtful questions. Finally, we’ll also be attending as well so look out for any FFF folks and say hi.
